Once the therapists hands leave your body that's when the real work begins.
What you do afterwards counts almost as much as the massage itself. There's a world of difference between getting off the couch and taking a nice relaxing bath or having a nap and going to the supermarket to do the weekly shop.
To allow the body and mind to absorb the effects of the massage here's what to do:
* Please drink plenty of fresh water, to assist the natural detoxification process
* Avoid over-exerting the body with lots of immediate physical exercise
* Eat a light diet, to encourage detoxification of the digestive system.
* Avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine, as this can inhibit the release of toxins - in fact you're re-toxing
If nothing else try and relax for at LEAST one hour after your massage.
